Budgeting Your Projects - The Basics for Artists and Creative Professionals

At Lions & Rabbits Center for the Arts, we recognize that financial literacy is a cornerstone of sustainable success for artists and creative professionals.

While an artist's creative skillset is critical, the ability to manage finances effectively is what empowers artists to thrive and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Our mission extends beyond just creating more job opportunities. We aim to close the knowledge gap left behind by traditional educational models, helping to ensure that artists can navigate the complexities of building a sustainable, successful career.

Budgeting Workforce Development

As part of our ongoing commitment to artist workforce development, we are excited to present our next educational event, focused entirely on the art of budgeting for your projects.

  • Learn the fundamentals of creating a budget for your art projects, including how to estimate costs and allocate resources effectively.
  • Gain insights into long-term financial planning strategies that can help secure your artistic future.
  • Explore avenues for funding your art, including how to apply for grants and pitch your projects to potential sponsors.
  • Discover practical tips for keeping your project expenses within budget without compromising your artistic vision.

This is the second of 3 classes we are hosting this season:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 28 - Public Art
